Where can I use my wash+dry Decor Rug?
These rugs are versatile and suitable for a wide range of areas in your home. They can be placed behind or in front of entrance doors (covered outdoor areas only), in kitchens, living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, nurseries, and in front of patio doors. Please note that rubber-backed mats may cause discoloration on PVC, linoleum, laminate, or wooden floors.
How do I wash my rug?
wash+dry Decor Rugs can be machine washed on a gentle cycle at a maximum temperature of 60°C. They should be washed separately using a mild detergent and spun at a maximum of 800 revolutions per minute. Bleaching, ironing, and dry cleaning are not recommended. Before washing, please check the maximum load of your washing machine, and for larger rugs, we recommend taking them to a laundry or cleaning them with a carpet cleaning device.
Can I tumble dry my rug?
Yes, wash+dry Decor Rugs are suitable for tumble drying. When drying, you should use the "Easy Care" or "Mixed Fabric" settings and ensure your dryer is not overloaded. Alternatively, the rug can be laid flat on the floor or on a drying rack. After drying, you should remove the rug from the drum promptly and lay it flat so the rubber backing can relax.
How often should I clean my rug?
It is recommended to wash your wash+dry Decor Rug approximately every six months for normal use. Rugs in high-traffic areas or with heavy usage may require more frequent cleaning. Regular washing, about three to four times per year, also helps maintain the grip of the rubber backing.
Are the rugs safe for allergy sufferers and pets?
Yes, wash+dry Decor Rugs are safe for allergy sufferers and pets. They are PVC-free and carry the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, which ensures they are free from harmful substances.
Are they suitable for underfloor heating?

Should I wash my mat before using it for the first time?

Mats up to 115 × 175 cm can generally be washed in a standard household machine. Please always check the load capacity of your washing machine. Larger mats that exceed the weight limit should be taken to an industrial laundry.

How do I care for my DUNE mat?
DUNE mats are robust and require minimal maintenance to preserve their appearance. Here are some tips to help keep your mat looking its best:
- Quick cleaning: The doormat can be easily shaken or patted to remove coarse and dry dirt.
- Dirt removal: In addition to shaking it out, the DUNE can be vacuumed regularly; please use a smooth nozzle for this. This removes foreign particles and keeps the mat clean and functional. These care measures are absolutely sufficient for everyday life.
- Wet cleaning for heavy soiling: The mat can be cleaned of heavy soiling using a garden hose and water (please not a high-pressure cleaner). After cleaning with the water hose, it is best to lay the mat flat in a warm place to dry.
- Washing Machine: If the mat is very dirty, it can be cleaned in a washing machine at a maximum of 40°C. Use mild detergent and spin the mat on a low setting. Wash the mat once a year to care for the rubber and to avoid dark abrasion on the surface. Then lay the mat flat to dry.
What are DUNE mats made from?
DUNE mats use a combination of recycled materials making them a sustainable choice for your home. Half of the outer material consists of 100% recycled polyester, which is obtained from PET bottles or other plastic parts. The non-slip back is made partly from recycled nitrile
rubber waste from our own manufacturing process.
