The DUNE Outdoor Mat is made from a blend of 50% polyester, which is 100% recycled, and 50% polypropylene, combining durability with sustainability. Its backing consists of 100% nitrile rubber containing recycled content, providing stability and grip. The mat has a pile height of 8mm and a weight of 3.20 kg per square meter, offering a robust and comfortable surface. It features a clean design with no visible rubber border, giving it a sleek, modern appearance.

Washing and Care Guide

To remove coarse and dry dirt, the doormat can simply be shaken or brushed off. Heavy dirt can also be cleaned off the mat with a garden hose and water (please do not use a high-pressure cleaner). After cleaning with water, it is best to lay the mat flat in a warm place to dry.

Besides shaking it out, you can also vacuum it regularly using a smooth nozzle. This removes dirt and dust, and keeps the mat clean and functional. This level of care is sufficient for everyday use.

If the mat should become very dirty, it can be machine washed at a max temperature of 40 °C. Use a mild detergent and spin the mat at a low speed. Once washed, lay the mat out flat to dry. Machine wash the mat once a year to maintain the rubber and to avoid dark abrasions to the surface.

Made from recycled materials with a raised coarse pile in a smart dark grey shade and a subtle leaf motif, Leaves Dark Grey will help to stop the worst of dirt, mud and moisture at the front door.

As with all DUNE mats, Leaves Dark Grey is a sculpted scraper mat. Simple and stylish, its contoured ridges are perfect for removing the worst of mud whilst allowing rain to easily drain away. With a quick shake, hose and a brush, DUNE mats can be cleaned in minutes.

In addition to its functionality, DUNE mats use recycled materials with half of the upper material being made from 100% recycled polyester, which is obtained from PET bottles or other plastic parts. The non-slip backing also contains recycled nitrile rubber from our own production. They are also designed so that water is collected and drained through its deep channels, making it perfect for outdoor use.

How do I care for my DUNE mat?

DUNE mats are robust and require minimal maintenance to preserve their appearance. Here are some tips to help keep your mat looking its best:

- Quick cleaning: The doormat can be easily shaken or patted to remove coarse and dry dirt.

- Dirt removal: In addition to shaking it out, the DUNE can be vacuumed regularly; please use a smooth nozzle for this. This removes foreign particles and keeps the mat clean and functional. These care measures are absolutely sufficient for everyday life.

- Wet cleaning for heavy soiling: The mat can be cleaned of heavy soiling using a garden hose and water (please not a high-pressure cleaner). After cleaning with the water hose, it is best to lay the mat flat in a warm place to dry.

- Washing Machine: If the mat is very dirty, it can be cleaned in a washing machine at a maximum of 40°C. Use mild detergent and spin the mat on a low setting. Wash the mat once a year to care for the rubber and to avoid dark abrasion on the surface. Then lay the mat flat to dry.
